NT-Samoa aged care pilot: Evaluation findings

This evaluation was commissioned by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to assess the fitness for purpose of this vocational education and training pathway pilot, examine the pathway’s viability for future use in the aged care sector, and its replicability in other industries. The pilot reflects a learning focus to capture insights about how the pathway can be improved.

Evaluation of the pilot was conducted over a 12-month period in 3 phases. Findings were based on interviews with a range of participants in this pilot including the Samoan carers, team leaders, the Country Liaison Officer, approved employer, registered training organisation, the Pacific Labour Facility and related Australian Government departments.
